Play AI is on the hunt for an Android Engineer to build the companion app for our Mad Rims AI-powered smart glasses. The ideal candidate :

Action-oriented, collaborative, creative, strong problem solver, adaptable, confident.

Your responsibilities :

Own Android app architecture and UX end-to-end (Jetpack Compose, Material 3).

Implement Bluetooth LE (GATT), device pairing, OTA triggers, and low-latency data flows.

Build camera features (CameraX), audio I / O, foreground services, and offline resiliency (WorkManager).

Integrate secure networking (Retrofit / OkHttp), analytics / crash reporting, and CI / CD.

Partner with Product, Design, Backend, and Firmware to ship high-quality releases.

Qualifications :

2–6 years of Android experience with Kotlin, Coroutines / Flow, and Jetpack libraries.

Hands-on with

Compose ,

Hilt / Dagger ,

Room ,

FCM ,

CameraX ,

BLE .

Strong grasp of app security (Keystore, certificate pinning), performance, and testing (JUnit / MockK / Espresso).

Shipped at least one production app at scale; wearables or hardware integration is a big plus.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
