Marine Safety Officer

Reports to :

Designated Person Ashore – Company Security Officer

Responsibilities and duties

You shall :

• Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations;
• Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies;
• Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis;
• Assist in QHSSE responsibilities for his assigned vessels;
• Perform on duty tasks when assigned;

Ensure :

In conjunction with concerned Departments and vessels :

his assigned vessels are properly manned, maintained, equipped and in a seaworthy condition.

Responsible for :

Accident investigation.

Be available to travel worldwide.

For Le Havre and Hamburg position :

You shall be available to come in Head Office a t least once per quarter

and when required. You can be designated as Deputy DPA-CSO with following duties :

Organize Company internal audit if required.

Minimum qualifications :

Training in :

Accident investigation.

QHSSE management knowledge

Experience

Previous officer experience or in shipping industry.

Personal attributes

No restriction to travel abroad.
