Key Responsibilities :
- Lead a team of scientists and associates in microbial strain development projects.
- Design, construct, and optimize microbial strains for improved production of target molecules.
- Apply advanced molecular biology techniques for genome engineering and pathway optimization.
- Develop strategies to enhance metabolic flux for improved yield and productivity.
- Utilize transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics data to identify bottlenecks and guide strain improvement.
- Work closely with protein engineering and downstream processing teams to achieve project goals.
Qualification :
Ph.D. in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or related field from a reputed University with excellent academic credentials, and peer-reviewed papers / patents.
Experience :
Ph.D. with 6-8 yrs. of industrial experience with ≥2yrs. as team leader.Expertise in CRISPR / Cas systems, metabolic pathway optimization, and omics-based analysis.Familiarity with yeast strain engineering.Knowledge of bioinformatics tools for genome analysis and pathway optimization.Experience with project management and IBSC will be an added advantage.Functional Competencies : Scientific knowledge, Experimental skills, Documentation, Data reporting, analysis and interpretation.
