Description
The Professor of Cardio Thoracic Surgery will be responsible for educating and training the next generation of surgeons while also engaging in research and clinical practice. This role requires a commitment to excellence in teaching, patient care, and academic contributions.
Responsibilities
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in Cardio Thoracic Surgery.
- Conduct and publish research in the field of Cardio Thoracic Surgery.
- Perform complex surgical procedures and manage patient care pre- and post-operation.
- Participate in departmental meetings, contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Skills and Qualifications
MD / MS in General Surgery; MCh in Cardio Thoracic Surgery or equivalent.Strong surgical skills and proficiency in advanced surgical techniques.In-depth knowledge of cardiothoracic surgical procedures and techniques.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.Ability to teach and guide students effectively in clinical and academic settings.Research experience in Cardio Thoracic Surgery is preferred but not mandatory.Education
