Job Purpose :
The Finance Head is responsible for Zoo Media maintaining a leadership position in the market by contributing to :
- Building new business and acquiring new customers
- Fostering deep client relationships leading to account renewals and upsells
- Identifying and actioning opportunities for account mining that exists within the system
- Maintaining company's financial health and increase profitability in the long run.
Role Responsibilities & Deliverables
1. Strategic :
Timely submission of business plan with financial implications at the start of the financial year and reviewed / updated every quarterConduct financial risk identification at the beginning of every quarter with report to be submitted to the management with analysis, forecasts and way forward intelligence (includes Data Mining to locate trends / variances / trouble - Project / employee / team / client profitability)Financial Budgeting for Different Service Lines / Departments - Budgeted v / s actuals and ensuring minimal varianceEnsure internal audits are completed quarterlyFinalization of yearly booksTimely response to showcase noticeEnsuring no escalations are received by Management for errors / delayed payments from clients / internal teamProvide resolution / addressal of a client / vendor&aposs financial / accounting doubts / queries2. Bills Payable & Receivables :
Bills Payable – Ensuring bills are paid as per pre-defined credit periods thus preventing delays resulting in payment of late fee amountBill Receivables – Ensure timely and accurate collections (taking into consideration credit periods)Taxation o Accuracy of tax computations o Timely payment / filing of taxes o Management of tax assessment orders o Overlooking tax and secretarial compliancesTimely disbursement of monthly salariesTimely fulfillment of statutory compliances.Timely generation and filing of monthly / quarterly / annually financial statements of the company.
Statutory filings to government
Payment of penalty due to non-compliance of legal and statutory frameworks (tax payment) or credit overdue from banks.3. Reports & Statements :
Timely generation of monthly / quarterly / annually financial statements of the company o Cash flow o Internal financial MIS reportEnsuring accuracy of reports and statements 4. Building & Fostering RelationshipsEngaging with internal teams and keeping a close check on payments / collections to ensure healthy account balancesNurture and develop relationships with the client leadership team & internal teams.Core Competencies :
