Deputy Proj. Manager - Electrical - Benin Rural Electrification Project
Location - Benin - Cotonou, West Africa
Role Objective
To support the Sr. Project Manager in leading, planning, and executing all electrical works under the Benin Rural Electrification Project, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations,
Roles & Responsibilities :
Project Management :
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely project delivery.
Lead the execution of electrical works including rural electrification, power distribution lines, substations, and related infrastructure.
Monitor progress against schedule, budget, and quality parameters; identify variances and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and international best practices.
Business Development :
Explore and create business opportunities.
Ensuring timely submission of technical & financial bids.
Ensuring bid-to-win ratio as per internal plan.
Team Management :
Mentor junior project managers and engineers, fostering a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
Stakeholder Communication :
Establish and maintain strong relationships with government officials, contractors, and local communities.
Desired Candidate Requirements :
Education : Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical Engineering
Experience : Minimum 15+ years of experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, specifically in rural electrification or power distribution.
Overseas experience is preferable.
Strong expertise in rural electrification, power distribution, and project execution.
Proven track record of managing medium to large-scale electrical infrastructure projects internationally or in challenging environments.
Travel / Relocation : Willingness to relocate to Benin and travel to any location for site visit and coordination.
