Description : The Network Planner is responsible for creating an optimized, end-to-end global supply plan for the medium- and long-term horizons. The role ensures uninterrupted supply of finished goods to customers while minimizing inventory, maximizing asset utilization, optimizing working capital, and improving overall supply chain efficiency. This position supports risk management, scenario analysis, long-range capacity planning, and strategic decision-making across the global supply network.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Global Supply Planning :
- Develop an optimized global supply plan for medium- and long-term horizons across multiple manufacturing and distribution nodes.
- Ensure continuous and efficient supply of finished goods with minimal inventory to meet service, cost, and working-capital targets.
- Balance supply and demand monthly by leading supplydemand alignment cycles and supporting S&OP forums.
- Identify risks and opportunities related to demand variability, capacity constraints, and material availability.
- Assess end-to-end network trade-offs and recommend the most feasible and cost-effective supply scenarios.
- Optimize inventory throughout the network, reduce write-offs, and improve agility across the supply chain.
- Make necessary adjustments to supply plans in accordance with the S&OP governance framework.
2. Scenario Planning & Decision Support :
Conduct end-to-end scenario analysis for medium-term capacity constraints, supply disruptions, and demand shifts.Model multiple planning scenarios and assess the financial implications of risks and opportunities.Provide input into long-term capacity requirements, network design, sourcing decisions, and investment planning.Support ongoing maintenance and enhancement of supply chain models to reflect current and future operating realities.3. Long-Range Planning & Strategic Planning :
Serve as a key leader in global supply chain long-range planning (LRP) activities.Consolidate and prepare long-range supply plans in collaboration with cross-functional partners including S&OP, Manufacturing, Quality, External Manufacturing, Procurement, Corporate Strategy, Finance, and Commercial.Own analytical datasets, historical trend analysis, and forward-looking projections supporting LRP and strategy cycles.Identify capacity gaps and propose capacity expansions or external sourcing strategies.Present strategic supply plans to senior leadership and drive alignment on long-term network decisions.Conduct fortnightly reviews of the strategic plan, monitor progress vs. budget, and lead cross-functional follow-up on action items.4. Supply Chain Technology, Systems & Automation :
Act as a key owner of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) tool within the planning Centre of Excellence.Lead enhancement, maintenance, and continuous improvement of planning systems and digital capabilities.Identify and drive automation opportunities across supply planning processes to improve visibility, responsiveness, and planning accuracy.Champion adoption of advanced analytics, digital planning tools, and process automation across the supply chain planning function.Additional Capabilities :
