Position Title : Head - Business Development

Location : Surat ,Mumbai

Department : Sales & Marketing

Job Business Development Head is responsible for developing and executing a sales expansion strategy to drive consistent growth by acquiring new customers, maintaining ASP (Average Selling Price), securing referral business, implementing market penetration tactics, conducting market research, identifying potential leads, analyzing competitors, driving branding initiatives in exhibitions and events, and mentoring the team to achieve & Generation :

  • Drive lead generation and develop a strong network of high-value customers to secure repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  • Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve individual sales targets and ensure closure of deals.
  • Develop the sales network with a focus on organizational goals and product-specific strategies.
  • Onboard customers with strong financial health and creditworthiness, maintaining ASP across product ranges.
  • Generate new business opportunities in South Gujarat and Mumbai markets, using a consultative approach to meet sales targets.
  • Ensure performance levels are satisfactory and remain self-motivated.
  • Provide structured reporting to management about potential opportunities and estimated timelines for closure of Control :
  • Ensure timely collection and follow-ups as per the defined timeline for the entire sales team.
  • Proactively follow up with customers for credit limits update regularly before Experience Leadership and Cross-Functional Alignment :
  • Drive client retention strategies and identify growth opportunities within key accounts to maximize long-term business value.
  • Lead high-level issue resolution by ensuring seamless coordination between sales, dispatch, and production teams to maintain service excellence.
  • Oversee cross-functional collaboration to ensure a strategic response to customer feedback and alignment with sales objectives.
  • Champion customer experience initiatives to deepen engagement, maximize retention, and accelerate revenue Focus :
  • Spearhead the development of innovative market penetration strategies and oversee in-depth competitor analysis to identify white space opportunities and strengthen market positioning.
  • Ensure the accuracy and strategic use of sales MIS (Management Information Systems) and performance dashboards, integrating insights on client credit control, market trends, and sales effectiveness to guide informed decision-making.
  • Establish and enforce adherence to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) across all levels to drive consistency, operational efficiency, and scalability.
  • Lead the continuous evaluation and transformation of sales SOPs, aligning them with evolving business needs, technological advancements, and customer expectations to enhance team productivity and Management :
  • Build and nurture a high-performance business development team by fostering a culture of ownership, agility, and continuous learning.
  • Inspire and empower team members through clear vision-setting, regular feedback, and recognition to drive motivation and accountability.
  • Execute data-driven performance management practices to identify gaps, provide timely coaching, and support individual growth plans.
  • Drive a growth mindset within the team by facilitating ongoing learning through training, mentoring, and exposure to industry trends.
  • Foster psychological safety and inclusivity, enabling open communication and encouraging initiative at all & Departmental Head, Sales Training & Experience & Skills :

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Minimum 12 Years of Experience in Commercial Sales of Building Materials / Aggregates Sales, RMC (Ready Mix Concrete), Construction, Qualification : B.E. Civil / BBA / MBA / M.Tech or equivalent experience in a related field.
