Location : Hybrid (Remote & 2-3 weeks onsite in London 4 times a year)

Job Description :

We are looking for a Senior SAP FI / CO Consultant to join our client, a leading global pharmaceutical company. You will be responsible for configuring and optimizing the SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules, ensuring they align with the industry-specific needs and regulatory standards of the pharmaceutical sector.

Responsibilities :

Lead the implementation and optimization of SAP FI / CO solutions tailored to the pharmaceutical industry’s finance and controlling processes.
Configure financial modules including Chart of Accounts, Financial Statements, Profit & Loss Statements, and Balance Sheets, while ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
Manage accruals, recurring entries, journal entries, and financial closing, with an emphasis on the unique challenges of the pharmaceutical sector, such as R&D costs and drug pricing.
Work on complex integrations between SAP FI / CO and other modules, including MM and SD, to streamline financial transactions, inventory, and sales.
Oversee the setup of vendor and customer masters, down payments, automatic payments, collections, and Dunning procedures.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, tax compliance (VAT, excise), and statutory reporting for the pharma industry.
Support period-end processing and profitability analysis, focusing on cost accounting for clinical trials, production, and distribution of pharmaceutical products.
Provide leadership and mentoring to junior team members while offering expert guidance on pharmaceutical financial processes.

Skills & Experience :

Extensive experience in SAP FI / CO within a pharmaceutical or life sciences environment.

Strong understanding of industry-specific challenges like clinical trial accounting, pharmaceutical inventory management, and government pricing programs.

Experience with tax regulations, including VAT and excise duties, as they apply to the pharmaceutical industry.

Hands-on experience in SAP S / 4HANA and its financial features.

Knowledge of integration points between FI / CO and other pharma-specific SAP modules (e.g., MM, PP, SD).

Preferred Skills :

SAP Certification in FI / CO.

Experience in regulatory compliance for the pharmaceutical industry.

Familiarity with SAP Pharmaceutical-specific solutions (e.g., GxP, GMP).
