Cyber Security Specialist

Responsibilities

• Security Implementation : Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, access controls, encryption, and other security technologies.
• Threat Monitoring : Continuously monitor IT systems for security threats and vulnerabilities, and respond to security incidents.
• Security Policies and Procedures : Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a secure IT environment.
• Security Audits : Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses and areas for improvement.
• User Training : Provide security awareness training to employees to promote a culture of security and compliance.
• Incident Response : Respond to and manage security incidents, conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Security Documentation : Maintain documentation related to security policies, procedures, incident reports, and security controls.
• Compliance : Ensure compliance with industry regulations, data protection laws, and internal security standards.
• Security Patch Management : Manage the application of security patches and updates to systems and software.
• Vendor Security : Evaluate and ensure the security of third-party vendors and service providers.
• Respond to and, where appropriate, resolve or escalate reported security incidents including incidents or events reported by MDR provider
• Key Security Tools - Proofpoint / Microsoft Defender / Cisco / Manage Engine / SentinelOne.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Preferred Qualifications / Skills

relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), are preferred.
