Specializations :

Animation & VFX Design, User Experience Design, Interior & Space Design, Product Design.

Job Purpose -

To engage in teaching, research, and service within the School of Design, contributing to academic excellence and student development in specialized design disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

Academic :

Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions as per workload in specialized design fields.

Collaborate with senior faculty to develop and update curricula aligned with industry trends.

Participate actively in academic and examination duties, including question paper setting and student assessment.

Organize workshops, seminars, FDPs, and training programs focusing on both technical and soft skills relevant to design professions.

Facilitate study tours and exposure visits to enrich student learning.

Research & Development :

Conduct and publish research in design domains nationally and internationally.

Co-investigate and contribute to research proposals.

Mentor and encourage students in research and paper writing.

Strategic & Operational :

Support execution of the school’s strategic plans.

Engage actively in student mentorship, counseling, and participation in co-curricular activities (NCC, cultural, technical events).

Contribute to admissions, convocation, internships, rural immersion, and international tours.

Finance & Collaborations :

Follow budgetary directives from academic leadership.

Foster industry collaboration, student placements, and alumni engagement.

Represent the school at academic forums and national-level programs such as the National Teachers Congress and Bharatiya Chatra Sansad.

Person Specification

Qualifications :

Ph.D. preferred in relevant / allied design disciplines.

Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks or equivalent in relevant design fields.

NET / SET / SLET qualification preferred.

Candidates with Master’s degree and 0-5 years relevant industry experience considered.

Experience & Skills :

Strong leadership, management capabilities, and commitment to the institute’s vision.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to integrate academic knowledge with practical design applications.
