Job Overview : We are seeking a qualified accountant with a solid understanding of financial accounting, preferably with some experience in the property and real estate sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monthly management accounts preparation, collaborating with teams across various functions, and providing insights into financial variances. While experience in real estate is beneficial, it is not essential. A proactive and detail-oriented approach to financial analysis and reporting is key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities :

• Monthly Management Accounts Preparation :

o Preparation and review of the monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet for multiple properties.

o Ensure accuracy and consistency in the financial statements, in line with company accounting policies and procedures.

o Collaborate with Finance Managers in the UK and Operations teams to ensure the accuracy of monthly management accounts.

o Analyze financial results and variances, providing detailed explanations and addressing queries to enhance business understanding.

o Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to clarify discrepancies and improve financial reporting processes.

o Prepare and review VAT returns for the properties in compliance with local tax regulations.

o Support the financial management of a portfolio of properties, including a new fund with four properties and a Spanish property.

o Work closely with local teams to ensure that all financial and operational aspects are accurately reflected in the financial accounts.

o Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.

o Experience in property or real estate accounting is preferred, but not a requirement.

o Intermediate Spanish proficiency (reading and writing) is essential, especially for the Spanish property.

o Strong understanding of accounting principles, P&L, Balance Sheets, and VAT returns.

o Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
