We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BIW Robotic Simulation Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in robotic Process Planning, Simulation, Validation and Robotic Path Planning and OLP for automotive BIW applications, with a strong understanding of North American OEM standards and Robotic safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities :
⦁ Develop and optimize robotic path planning for BIW welding and handling operations.
⦁ Ensure compliance with robot safety standards during simulation and implementation.
⦁ Perform weld gun selection, gun sectioning, and manufacturing distribution based on process requirements.
⦁ Conduct tool validation and ensure feasibility of robotic operations.
⦁ Generate and validate Offline Programs (OLPs) for Fanuc & ABB robots (preferred).
⦁ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet North American OEM working standards.
⦁ Utilize Process Simulate\Designer software for robotic simulation and process validation.
⦁ Support design reviews and provide technical documentation for simulation deliverables
Required Skills & Qualifications :
⦁ Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Production / automobile / Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
⦁ 3 to 6 years of experience in BIW robotic simulation and OLP
⦁ Proficiency in Process Simulate or equivalent simulation tools.
⦁ Hands-on experience with Fanuc robots and OLP generation.
⦁ Strong understanding of robot safety standards and BIW processes.
⦁ Familiarity with North American OEM standards and expectations.
⦁ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications :
⦁ Experience with other robotic platforms (e.g., KUKA, ABB) is a plus.
⦁ Exposure to digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 concepts.
⦁ Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
⦁ Exposure to Upcoming Technologies in BIW Robotic Simulation Project
