Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage and execute
payroll processes across multiple geographies – US, UK, Australia, and India. The ideal
candidate will ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, statutory compliance, reporting,
and employee support while working closely with internal teams and external partners. This role
is critical in maintaining data integrity, compliance with global employment regulations, and
employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing
- Process end-to-end payroll for employees in the US, UK, AUS, and India, including
regular salary, bonuses, variable pay, reimbursements, and deductions.
Ensure accurate payroll inputs by validating timesheets, leaves, bonuses, and incentiveplans.
Prepare and review monthly payroll journals for all entities and coordinate with Financefor payroll accounting.
Maintain and update employee records such as department, designation, andcompensation changes.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure timely tax filings and compliance with statutory regulations across regions (e.g.,IRS filings in the US, HMRC in the UK, ATO in Australia, and EPFO / ESI / PT in India).
Prepare and file statutory reports including PF, ESI, LWF, PT, TDS, and StatutoryBonus in India; and equivalents in other regions.
Generate and distribute Form 16 (India), P60 / P45 (UK), W-2 / W-4 (US), and PAYGsummaries (Australia) as applicable.
Assist in gratuity, earned leave, and other benefit valuations and provide requireddata for actuarial reports.
Support audits and provide documentation for internal and external compliance reviews.Employee Support & Communication
Act as a payroll advisor and point of contact for employees and internal departmentsacross geographies.
Clarify employee queries regarding salary structure, tax treatment, statutory deductions,and net pay.
Drive awareness about pay components and compliance obligations across all regions.Process Improvement & Stakeholder Collaboration
Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors (such as payroll processors and taxconsultants) to streamline payroll operations.
Participate in HRMS implementation, automation initiatives, and global payroll systemupgrades.
Continuously evaluate payroll processes and propose improvements for accuracy,efficiency, and compliance.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or a related field.Minimum 3–5 years of experience in multi-country payroll processing, preferablycovering US, UK, AUS, and India.
In-depth knowledge of payroll compliance and statutory regulations across thementioned countries.
Experience working with payroll systems such as ADP, Gusto, Paychex (US), Xero(AUS), Sage (UK), or Indian payroll platforms like GreytHR or Zoho or DarwinBox.
Strong proficiency in Excel and MS Office Suite.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize tasks, and work under tight deadlines,especially during month-end and year-end.
Willingness to work flexible hours to coordinate across global time zones.
