Senior Research Analyst

Overview

IDC is seeking a Senior Analyst, Tech Buyer Data to join our TechMatch program. In this hands-on role, you will research software markets, create and refresh high volumes of commercial information on software providers, and ensure data quality for our AI-driven sourcing platform. You will be a key contributor to a team that is reshaping how enterprises evaluate and select technology, cutting through the complexity of vendor landscapes and accelerating software procurement with trusted, data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Research software markets, identifying key vendors, products, pricing, and commercial terms.
• Data standardization - classification of unstructured text input into structured columns e.g. Product, Module, SKU
• Create and refresh large volumes of commercial information for software providers, ensuring comprehensive coverage of products, modules, SKUs, and pricing structures.
• Use AI tools to prepopulate, clean, and enrich datasets on IT vendors.
• Perform thorough quality assurance on platform and external data, identifying and remediating errors or inconsistencies.
• Support the development of analytics features for vendor evaluation and comparison.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to refine data models and reporting capabilities.
• Data analysis including Quality checks, extracting key findings, suggested Quality Remediation
