Construction Manager : Electrical- Substation

Location : Chennai

Experience : 10yrs to 16yrs

Key Responsibilities :

• Plan, coordinate, and manage electrical construction activities at substation project sites (132kV / 220kV / 400kV and above).
• Ensure execution is in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality and safety standards.
• Supervise installation of transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, busbars, control & relay panels, earthing systems, and cabling works.
• Coordinate with design and engineering teams for clarification and implementation of drawings.
• Liaise with civil and structural teams to ensure smooth interface of electrical systems.
• Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely execution and quality compliance.
• Monitor project progress and prepare daily / weekly reports for internal and client review.
• Ensure implementation of safety procedures and conduct regular site safety audits.
• Participate in testing and commissioning activities of electrical systems.
• Support documentation and handover processes, including as-built drawings, test reports, and QA / QC records.
