The Hardware Simulation Engineer is responsible for performing electronics simulations on PCB level, enclosure level, and system level. This role requires an experienced hardware engineer to work on standard simulation tools and processes for electronics simulation, deploy customized simulation solutions, and processes across the organization with the aim to reduce product development cycle time.
The engineer will lead simulation for products / portfolio, define the simulation scope, and execute the delivery of simulations. Additionally, the role involves developing a community of practitioners by working with engineering and design functions across the organization to execute the simulation strategy and maintain high-quality simulation practices.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Quick understanding of HW design, test standards, test setup, and test reports.
- Execute electronics simulations such as EMI / EMC (RE, CE, RS, RI, BCI, ESD) and Antenna simulation on standard tools and solution providers for any design issues.
- Understand the test standards and system modeling of EMI / EMC test setup in HFSS / HFSS 3D and EMA3D from Ansys.
- System-level modeling in MATLAB.
- Execute simulation automation improvements in product development focused on electronics.
- Deploy standard work processes for electronics simulation.
- Lead Product / Portfolio HW Simulation Strategies.
