JOB PURPOSE
The Senior BIM Manager is responsible for leading and managing the BIM team, ensuring effective delivery of BIM services across all project phases. This role oversees BIM quality control and process improvement, establishes and maintains BIM standards, and drives continuous enhancement of digital design workflows. The Senior BIM Manager provides strategic RFP support and contributes to sub-consultant pre-qualification, ensuring BIM capabilities align with project and client requirements.
The position also supports project teams through BIM project support and design team coordination, resolving technical issues, facilitating model integration, and ensuring compliance with project BIM Execution Plans. A key part of the role is training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to build internal capability and foster best practices. The Senior BIM Manager provides regular reporting and management coordination, ensuring alignment between BIM operations, design teams, and organizational objectives.

BIM Team Management
- Overseeing the overall performance, coordination, and productivity of the BIM team.
- Allocating resources effectively across multiple projects based on priorities.
- Monitoring team members’ leave schedules and ensuring balanced workload distribution.
- Tracking day‑to‑day BIM activities and providing both technical and strategic guidance.
- Conducting regular team meetings to review progress, challenges, and performance metrics.

BIM Quality Control and Process Improvement
Conducting periodic BIM audits and quality checks to maintain model integrity.Implementing process improvements and automation tools to enhance efficiency.Identifying workflow bottlenecks and proposing corrective actionsRFP and BEP Review
Reviewing RFP (Request for Proposal) documents to identify BIM scope, deliverables, and client expectations.Reviewing and commenting on pre‑contract BEPs (BIM Execution Plans) to ensure alignment with company capabilities and ISO 19650 principles.Subconsultant Prequalification
Leading meetings with consultants to assess their BIM capabilities and technical maturity.Reviewing sample models and technical submissions provided by subconsultants.Preparing feedback and recommendations for the BID and management teams.Training, Mentoring, and Knowledge Sharing
Conducting in‑house BIM training sessions and mentoring junior team members.Supporting continuous skill development in new tools and technologies.Sharing lessons learned and best practices across projects.Recruitment and Interviews
Assigning appropriate interviewers for BIM Modellers and Architects.Conducting interviews for senior positions such as Senior Architects, Project Architects, BIM Coordinators, and BIM Managers.BIM Project Support
Providing BIM management support for projects without an assigned BIM Manager or when the manager is on leave.Attending BIM meetings — internal, consultant, and client — to ensure effective coordination and communication.Supporting the team in resolving modelling, coordination, and workflow challenges.Design Team Support
Advising the design team on best modelling practices and efficient Revit workflows.Reviewing models for accuracy, performance, and compliance with company standards.Supporting advanced modelling and parametric design initiatives.Assisting architects in integrating design intent seamlessly into the BIM process.Subconsultant Support
Providing technical and process support to subconsultants on BIM‑related tasks.Assisting subconsultants with BIM execution alignment and troubleshooting.Reporting and Management Coordination
Preparing periodic BIM progress reports and updates for management review.QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS
Degree / Diploma in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 10 years of experience in BIM Coordination in an Architecture firmHave a good understanding of International standards used in the BIM process (i.e., ISO, AIA, BS, LOD, LOI, Classification / Specification standards, etc.)Experience in additional BIM uses during design stages other than modeling and documentation (i.e., Code validation, Design coordination, Quantity take-off, GIS, VR, AIM, etc.) will be an added advantageExperience in reviewing EIR and prepare delivery strategy for the projectsPrior experience in design documentation / modelling (all design stages)Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.Knowledge in automation skills like Dynamo, Python and Revit API is an added advantageStrong knowledge of BIM standards and protocolsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work effectively in a team and lead BIM efforts on projectsProblem-solving and critical thinking abilitiesMiddle East experience preferredCOMPETENCIES
