Job Summary

We’re looking for a Senior Teradata Solution Architect with deep expertise in data architecture and hands-on experience with Teradata technologies. In this strategic role, you’ll work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and IT teams to design and maintain robust, scalable data ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

Lead the design and architecture of enterprise data warehouse solutions using Teradata.

Define data models, integration patterns, and performance optimization strategies.

Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards and industry best practices.

Utilize Teradata tools and utilities (TPT, BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad) and advanced SQL for solution delivery.

Apply strong knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and ETL / ELT methodologies.

Technical Leadership

Provide strategic technical direction across teams using Teradata technologies.

Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance data architecture.

Conduct architecture reviews and maintain consistency with design standards.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with business analysts, data scientists, and leadership to align data solutions with business goals.

Present architectural blueprints and roadmaps to stakeholders.

Ensure seamless collaboration across cross-functional teams.

⚙️ Performance, Scalability & Optimization

Architect systems for high availability, scalability, and optimal performance.

Implement best practices for query tuning, indexing, and workload management.

Monitor system performance and propose continual improvements.

Governance & Security

Define and enforce data governance and compliance frameworks.

Architect secure environments with proper access controls and encryption.

Support regulatory audits and compliance initiatives.

Project Management & Delivery

Lead architectural efforts in large-scale data initiatives and migrations.

Plan and manage project timelines, deliverables, and technical resources.

Ensure timely and quality delivery of architecture documentation and artifacts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

12+ years of total experience, with at least 7+ years in Teradata environments.

Expert-level knowledge of Teradata SQL, architecture, and utilities.

Proficient in scripting languages like Python and PowerShell for automation.

Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL / ELT pipelines, and data warehousing best practices.

Experience working in Azure cloud environments (preferred).

Familiarity with data governance, data security, metadata management, and compliance frameworks.

Excellent communication, analytical, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Teradata certifications (e.g., Teradata Certified Professional or Master).

Experience integrating Teradata with data lakes and cloud ecosystems.

Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies and collaborative development environments.
