Job Title :

Team Leader / Assistant Manager / Manager - RCM (US Hospital Billing)

Location : Kharadi Pune

Experience Required :

5–8 years in RCM (US healthcare), with at least 2 years in a leadership role managing teams for hospital billing.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Operational Management :

  • Lead and manage a team of executives handling end-to-end hospital billing processes, including charge entry, payment posting, AR follow-up, and denials management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate claims submission and effective resolution of denials to maximize revenue recovery.
  • Monitor team performance against key metrics such as productivity, quality, and turnaround time (TAT).

Team Leadership :

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and training to improve team skills.
  • Act as a mentor to team members, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and workload allocation to ensure business continuity.
  • Manage a team of 50-60 employees
  • Client Management :

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing escalations and ensuring satisfaction with service delivery.
  • Prepare and present weekly / monthly performance reports to stakeholders and clients.
  • Compliance and Quality :

  • Ensure adherence to HIPAA guidelines and other regulatory requirements.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain high levels of accuracy in billing and claims processes.
  • Process Improvement :

  • Identify areas for process optimization and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with senior management team to implement new policies and workflows.
  • Collaborate with client for process & performance improvement of team.
  • Required Skills :

  • In-depth knowledge of RCM processes (2+ yrs hospital billing exp is mandatory), payer guidelines, and EOB interpretation.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Proficiency in using billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, MediTech etc.)
  • Expert in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Expert in Analysing inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage teams and interact with clients effectively.
  • Analytical mindset to identify trends and implement corrective measures.
  • Manage team of 50-60 members
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • Certification in Medical Billing / Coding or RCM processes (e.g., AAPC, HFMA) is a plus.
