▷ (Immediate Start) Vernacular Outreach Coordinator

Position Objective :

To translate content from English to Hindi for PETA India’s website, videos, letters, and other documents, and to coordinate vernacular outreach, including managing and updating PETA India’s Hindi website and social media platforms.

Senior Manager – Vernacular Outreach

Location : Delhi or Mumbai

Primary Responsibilities and Duties :

• Translate written English content into accurate and meaningful Hindi for PETA India’s website, social media, news releases, media statements, newsletters, video scripts, billboards, leaflets, letters, demonstration materials, and other outreach materials.
• Coordinate with freelance translators and proofreaders working in other Indian languages to ensure smooth, timely, and accurate delivery of multilingual campaign content.
• Assist in managing and maintaining PETA India’s Hindi website, including uploading content in accordance with standard operating procedures and ensuring regular updates with the latest campaign news, blogs, and resources.
• Support content development and management of PETA India’s Hindi Facebook page and other regional social media platforms, including responding to followers with approved, informative, and polite replies.
• Collaborate with the Online and Campaigns teams to create and adapt Hindi creatives for social media use.
• Stay informed about PETA India’s ongoing and upcoming campaigns to ensure consistency and accuracy across all Hindi content.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Meet all assigned deadlines with efficiency and accuracy.
• Apply a strong understanding of animal rights and PETA India’s mission to all translation and coordination work.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
