Job description

The candidates are expected to have skills across the following :

Technical Expertise :

Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure) - including infrastructure provisioning and cost optimization. [Primary : AWS].
Experience with CI / CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools - Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
Scripting and automation skills using Shell, Python, or similar.
Monitoring, logging, and alerting tools - Prometheus, Grafana, ELK / EFK, Datadog, etc.

Security and Compliance :

Exposure to DevSecOps practices.

Handling of secrets and credentials (e. g. AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault).

Experience with audits, vulnerability scans, and security remediation.

Systems Reliability and Performance :

Concepts of High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and auto-scaling.

Incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive measures.

Experience with SRE principles or operating within an SLO / SLA framework.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management :

Experience working closely with developers, QA, and product teams.

Ability to mentor junior engineers and establish DevOps best practices.

Communication skills to clearly articulate architecture, decisions, and trade-offs.

Problem Solving and Ownership :

Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues independently.

Examples of end-to-end ownership of DevOps pipelines or platform infrastructure.
