Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor- NSoMASA-Statistics (Mumbai Campus)

FOR THE POST OF PROFESSOR

• An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in Arts/ Science discipline with Statistics as a subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.

  M.Sc. degree in Statistics with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.

  A minimum of three years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Associate Professor in Statistics from University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level in the subject of Statistics.

  A minimum of research publications in peer reviewed/UGC listed/CARE listed journals out of which three research papers shall be published during the assessment period.

  Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process.

FOR THE POST OF ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

• Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in Arts/ Science discipline with Statistics as a subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.

• M.Sc. degree in Statistics with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.

• A minimum of three years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in Statistics from a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry.

• A candidate must have completed any one of the following: (a) RC/ Methodology Workshop/Syllabus Up-gradation Workshop/ Teaching- Learning-Evaluation Technology Programme/ FDP (10 days), (b) two courses of 10 days duration. Each course of 5 days duration, (c ) One MOOC course.

• A minimum of publications as books and/or research papers in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed Journals.

FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

• Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in Arts/ Science discipline with Statistics as a subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.

• M.Sc. degree in Statistics with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.

• Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET in Statistics subject.

• Minimum publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
