Position Overview

We are seeking a highly accomplished Accounts Head (AR & AP) to lead our Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, compliance, and business partnering. The role requires a strategic finance professional with deep expertise in working capital management, compliance, and process excellence, along with proven leadership in managing large-scale finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management : Lead and manage the AR & AP teams, ensuring operational efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to timelines.

Accounts Operations : Oversee invoicing, collections, vendor payments, reconciliations, and credit management processes.

Working Capital & Cash Flow : Monitor and optimize working capital cycles, DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), and payables to strengthen liquidity.

Compliance & Governance : Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, GST, TDS, and accounting standards, while enforcing robust internal controls.

Process Excellence : Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices; drive automation and technology-enabled solutions for efficiency.

Audit & Risk Management : Conduct periodic reviews and internal audits to identify risks and enhance control frameworks.

Cross-functional Collaboration : Partner with Finance, Treasury, Procurement, and Operations to align financial processes with business goals.

Reporting & Insights : Review aging reports, resolve escalations, and deliver actionable financial insights to senior management.

Closures & Compliance : Ensure smooth execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

Stakeholder Management : Liaise with statutory auditors, banks, and external stakeholders on financial matters.

Continuous Improvement : Drive cost efficiency initiatives and support budgeting and forecasting processes.

Talent Development : Mentor and develop a high-performing accounts team with a focus on professional growth and succession planning.

Requirements

Key Requirements

Qualification : Chartered Accountant (CA) / CFA  or equivalent.

Experience : Minimum 18+ years in Accounts & Finance with specialization in AR & AP operations.

Leadership : Proven experience in managing large teams and end-to-end accounts functions.

Technical Knowledge : Strong expertise in accounting standards, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.

Systems Proficiency : Hands-on experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel.

Soft Skills : Exceptional leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities.
