Accounts Receivable Director

You'll be the architect of what's next in financial operations, owning client revenue through optimized collections and scaling meaningful financial outcomes for Searce.

Your Mission : The Role

As an Accounts Receivable Director, you'll be a Searce business leader and a 'forward deployed solver'. Your mission is to 'futurify' finance by leveraging AI and automation to conquer real-world financial challenges. This role carries direct revenue accountability, ensuring robust cash flow and strategic client financial outcomes.

Your Responsibilities

What you will wake up to solve.

"This isn't a 'chase invoices' role. You are the founder, the architect, and the DRI (Directly Responsible Individual) for transforming our accounts receivable into a strategic revenue engine. Your mission is to partner with our visionary clients, leverage our 'solver DNA' to disrupt traditional payment processes, and genuinely futurify our financial operations to create 'real value' and ensure exceptional payment hygiene."

Here's how you’ll make your mark :

  • Own Revenue Velocity with a Founder's Mindset :
  • Own the cash flow. Forecast, chase, and deliver on collection numbers, ensuring maximum revenue from pending payments.
  • Architect and execute a client-centric AR strategy that earns trust and ensures prompt payment.
  • Forge deep alliances with key clients, understanding their payment ecosystems to proactively resolve issues.
  • Consult & Solve as the "face of our financial operations" in CXO conversations, ensuring stellar customer service that enhances client relationships.
  • Build Visionary Solutions that Yield Transformative Intelligence :
  • Lead engaging discovery workshops using first-principles thinking to understand client payment behaviors and challenges.
  • Apply our proprietary evlos methodology—iterate fast and fearlessly to optimize collections and scrutinize invoices.
  • Serve as the chief translator between client payment challenges and our most intelligent, process-driven AR solutions.
  • Design AI-native, cloud-forward solutions grounded in process intelligence that drive true value, ensuring all payments are received, accounted for, and properly posted.
  • Implement working, real outcomes that improve our Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and client satisfaction.
  • Proactively investigate historical data for each debt, identifying discrepancies and driving their swift resolution with top management.
  • Be hands-on in the AR function, driving collections efficiently and effectively, and preparing accurate monthly forecast reports.
  • Lead by Example & Impact, Not Control :
  • Attract, hire, mentor, and grow top-tier solver talent within the accounts receivable function.
  • Live the “Always in Beta” mindset - build learners, not followers, constantly identifying process gaps.
  • Model extreme ownership, radical clarity, calm in chaos, especially when managing high-aging clients.

  • Financial Transformation Pedigree : 15+ years of experience in modern finance operations, specifically focusing on Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Cash Flow Optimization (leveraging automation / AI with a process-first mindset).
  • Commercial & Revenue Impact Leadership : Proven track record of significantly improving cash flow, reducing DSO, and demonstrating direct impact on net-new revenue realization.
  • Client & Stakeholder-Facing Financial Acumen : 8+ years in a client-facing or direct stakeholder engagement role (e.g., negotiating payment terms, resolving complex disputes), acting as a trusted financial advisor.
  • Locally Tuned Financial Ecosystem Knowledge : Knows the financial terrain—payment challenges, relevant regulatory environments, and effective collection strategies within the local and global business context.
  • Bonus Points (you'll thrive if you have) :

  • Designed or scaled a modern AR organization from scratch (setting global policies, implementing new systems / ERPs).
  • Led the implementation of significant AI or RPA-driven automation in core AR processes (dunning, cash forecasting).
  • Experience in an AR leadership role within a high-growth, privately held, or bootstrapped tech company.
  • A recognized expert (speaker / publisher) who optimizes cash flow, reduces DSO, and enhances customer payment experiences at scale.
