Sr. Manager – Food Category (Role Overview)
The Senior Manager – Food Category will provide strategic leadership and end-to-end management across all aspects of Buying, Supplier Development, Innovation, and Execution for all Food products required for BAU and LTOs (including Dairy, Proteins, Sauces, Seasonings, etc.).
The role involves identifying and onboarding suppliers, leading product development, ensuring quality control, overseeing production processes, and managing distribution to consistently meet quality standards, market requirements, and profitability goals.
The ideal candidate should be well-networked within the food ecosystem and possess a strong understanding of cost structures . They will be accountable for optimizing raw material costs , driving cost efficiencies through process enhancements , and ensuring no compromise on product quality while improving bottom-line performance.
Key Responsibilities :
Maintain COGS within company benchmarks by offsetting inflation through effective deflation initiatives.
Drive COGS reduction in alignment with the company’s AOP targets to support bottom-line improvement.
Develop the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for all raw material sourcing requirements.
Oversee core product sourcing and implement robust risk mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
Lead sourcing for LTO ingredients , ensuring timely availability, quality, and cost efficiency.
Experience Required :
10–12 years of relevant experience in Food Category Management, Procurement, or Strategic Sourcing.
