Job description

Position : Manager Sales EPC Business Ball Valves

Job Location : PAN India

About the company :

One of the Germany based MNC Company into manufacturing and trading of Industrial Ball Valves to different process applications. The companys major customers are L&T McDermott Tecnimont Technip EIL Tata Projects Thyssen etc.

Reports To :

Director India & Germany

Job Purpose :

To develop and manage sales of industrial ball valves to EPC contractors and end users across petrochemical chemical offshore wind oil & Gas and Power projects. The role involves identifying new business opportunities maintaining key customer relationships and ensuring the companys products are specified in major EPC projects.

Key Responsibilities : 1. Business Development & Sales

  • Identify target and acquire new EPC clients across petrochemical chemical offshore wind oil & gas refineries and power projects.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share in the EPC segment.
  • Achieve annual sales targets and profitability goals for the EPC vertical.
  • Manage tendering bidding and project specification activities.

2. Key Account Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with key EPCs such as L&T McDermott Tecnimont Technip EIL Tata Projects Thyssen etc.
  • Build long-term relationships with consultants contractors and end-users.
  • Track upcoming projects and ensure the companys ball valves are specified in vendor lists.
  • 3. Technical & Commercial Support

  • Coordinate with engineering and production teams to provide technical support during project evaluation and bidding.
  • Review project specifications datasheets and ensure compliance with client requirements (API ISO ASME standards).
  • present techno-commercial proposals and negotiate terms with clients.
  • 4. Market Intelligence

  • Monitor competitor activities pricing trends and market dynamics in the valve industry.
  • Identify emerging sectors and opportunities for growth in EPC-driven projects.
  • 5. Coordination & Reporting

  • Prepare periodic sales forecasts pipeline reports and market analysis.
  • Qualifications & Experience :

  • Education : B.E. / in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (MBA preferred).
  • Experience : 8 12 years in sales / business development in the valve or industrial equipment sector.
  • Domain Knowledge : prior experience dealing with EPC clients and project-based sales.
  • Technical Skills : Understanding of valve design API & ASME standards and EPC project procurement processes.
  • Soft Skills : Excellent communication negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :

  • Sales revenue and gross margin achieved from EPC clients.
  • Number of new EPC accounts acquired.
  • Number of project specifications secured.
  • Market share growth in target segments.
  • Customer satisfaction and retention rate.
  • Compensation :

    Competitive base salary plus performance-linked incentives.
