The Senior Audit Project Lead leads and manages multiple complex audit projects, overseeing the entire audit process from planning to reporting and ensuring the quality and timely completion of the project in conformance with Internal Audit policies and procedures. The Senior Audit Project Lead may be supervising or consulting on some of these projects while performing planning, fieldwork or reporting on others.

This senior-level role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of audit methodologies, risk management, and relevant frameworks like COSO, SOX / ICFR and other IT or cybersecurity frameworks. Key responsibilities include developing audit plans, leading and mentoring audit teams, managing project risks, and ensuring objectives are met while maintaining professional judgment and delivering high-quality results.

The Senior Audit Project Lead is also expected to anticipate and smoothly handle unusual situations and challenges with minimal guidance and support from VGO Internal Audit management. This role will also be responsible for ensuring appropriate and timely follow-up on management action plans from published audit reports. The individual will directly oversee the audit projects, the Senior / Staff Auditor(s) and / or Intern(s) assigned to the project, and the client relationship. This position will also help assist junior team members in carrying out their daily responsibilities. This role reports to the Audit Manager.

Update and Client Closing meetings

be successful, cost-effective solutions to mitigate the underlying risks

People Management

interns and staff auditors as requested

individual's professional development and to successful project completion

their final Internal Audit Project Evaluation form and discusses with the audit staff to help improve

their performance on future engagements and further their professional development

Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP) Support
