Power BI Developer - Power Query M

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to join our team in the Communication sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, DAX, and Power Query, with proven expertise in designing and delivering impactful dashboards. You will work closely with business stakeholders to interpret requirements, apply data visualization best practices, and provide insights that drive decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to recommending improvements beyond standard reporting Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and deliver interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data models and visualizations.
• Apply expertise in DAX, Power Query (M language), and advanced data modeling.
• Ensure adherence to data visualization best practices, UI / UX principles, and storytelling.
• Handle large and complex datasets, ensuring optimized data refresh and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze trends, anomalies, and insights.
• Communicate insights effectively to non-technical business users in simple, clear language.
• Proactively suggest enhancements and improvements to reporting Skills & Qualifications :
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on Power BI experience (mandatory).
• Strong expertise in data modeling, DAX, Power Query (M language).
• Proven ability to interpret business requirements into impactful dashboards.
• Strong knowledge of data visualization best practices and UI / UX design.
• Ability to work with large, complex datasets and optimize refresh performance.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to spot trends and anomalies.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
• Self-driven, proactive, and to Have :
• Experience with Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks).
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, or R for advanced analytics.
• Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies.
