We are currently seeking a seasoned Principal Cloud Engineer (Azure) to lead their cloud financial management (FinOps) initiatives and drive operational excellence on the Azure platform.

This role will shape cloud service strategies, lead research and proof of concepts (POCs), and provide opinionated insights to influence offerings and internal best practices.

The ideal candidate brings deep Azure expertise, cost optimization skills, and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

The role involves managing Azure costs, designing secure & scalable cloud solutions, and exploring emerging technologies such as Generative AI.

Key Responsibilities :

Azure FinOps :

Manage and optimize Azure subscriptions and resources, ensuring cost efficiency and proper utilization.
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards using Azure Cost Management data and exports.
Implement and manage Azure-native dashboards (Azure Advisor, budgets, cost recommendations).
Lead large-scale Azure migration and modernization engagements, managing end-to-end lifecycle and program governance.
Define and implement cost-management strategies through monitoring, optimization, and automation of Azure services.

Azure Candidate should be currently working with an MSP and they should be delivering Cloud optimization services to multiple customers.

Within Cloud Optimization area, they should demonstrate experience with Cloud Migration and Cloud Optimization.

Design and implement secure, scalable, efficient, and cost-optimized Azure solutions, balancing trade-offs across requirements, speed, cost, and reliability.

Partner with business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate technical merits, and align solutions with business outcomes and TCO value propositions.

Must Have :

Proven track record in Azure FinOps and cost optimization.

Strong expertise across Azure services (VMs, Blob Storage, SQL DB, AKS, Functions, Azure OpenAI).

Hands-on with Azure Cost Management, Advisor, Budgets.

Proficiency in PowerShell / Python scripting for automation.

Experience conducting Azure Well-Architected Framework Reviews.

Strong understanding of DevOps practices and pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure to Have :

Experience with third-party FinOps tools (CloudHealth, Apptio Cloudability, Flexera One, etc.

Strong knowledge of Azure governance and compliance (Policies, Blueprints, Management Groups).

Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CI / CD pipelines.

Certifications : Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or equivalent.

Experience in Azure Governance, Policy, Compliance, and Security frameworks.

Knowledge of Azure AD, Azure Security Center, Azure Advisor, Azure & Education :

Minimum 7+ years in cloud operations with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
