Job description

About the Role

Teleparty is looking for passionate iOS Developers in India to build a world-class social TV experience for Teleparty. You'll work closely with Indian and US engineering, design, revenue, and growth teams to develop and grow free and paid streaming integrations for our iOS based App that will delight users and drive our business forward.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Swift code for our iOS app UI and user experience, integrating with major OTT partners such as Hotstar, ESPN+, Disney+ MENA, and others.
  • Work on high-bandwidth infrastructure serving a social graph of millions of users, with hands-on training and mentorship on building and maintaining streaming integrations in a production-grade iOS environment.
  • Collaborate closely with founders and engineering leads to understand product priorities and user needs; contribute to the design and implementation of new features.
  • Translate product requirements, wireframes, and designs into high-quality code. Debug complex issues and contribute to long-term technical improvements.
  • Use data to drive technical decisions and evaluate the impact of new product features.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree from a Tier 1 university or equivalent professional experience at a Tier 1 company.
  • Excellent technical communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • 3+ years of iOS app development experience at a multinational company or top-tier startup, ideally involving cross-time-zone collaboration.
  • Proficient in Swift and Combine. Bonus : Experience with C++ integration in Xcode projects.
  • Strong grasp of iOS UI design principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Deep understanding of iOS networking, including TCP / UDP, IPv4 / IPv6, internet topology, and concepts like routing and hop count.
  • Experience with video streaming and playback, including protocols and standards such as H.264, MPEG-4, HLS, DASH, and DRM. Strong grasp of video pipeline performance and playback quality across devices. WebRTC experience is a significant bonus.
  • Understanding of hybrid iOS app development, including working with embedded HTML and JavaScript. JavaScript experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience supporting multiple iOS versions and device types with attention to performance and stability.
  • Strong debugging skills with a proactive approach to solving edge cases and delivering clean, maintainable solutions.
