Location : Pune, Maharashtra, India

About the Role :

We are hiring a Mechanical Engineer to design and deliver processing modules and systems for liquid food applications across dairy, beverage, prepared food, and plant-based categories. The role covers end-to-end mechanical and piping design, working closely with cross-functional and global engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead mechanical and piping design across the full project lifecycle.
  • Create 3D piping layouts, skid designs, and equipment models using Autodesk Inventor.
  • Produce 2D manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and cost estimates.
  • Provide support to workshop and production teams during assembly.
  • Develop quick layout proposals for Sales support.
  • Coordinate with global design owners for updates and design improvements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on component development.
  • Independently design local modules (e.G., Pasteurizers, TPCIP, Sterilizers).
  • Design Branded Processing Units (BPUs) and prepare tank / vessel detail drawings.
  • Work closely with Production, Quality, Supply Management, and Engineering teams.
  • Support engineering activities at other sites as needed.
  • Perform FEA and frame analysis.
  • Participate in issue resolution, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Travel up to 10% as required.

Qualifications :

  • 5–12 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D piping design tools, plus AutoCAD.
  • Strong experience in hygienic piping, skid design, process piping, and food-grade design practices.
  • Knowledge of standards such as ASME, SMS, 3A, DIN.
  • Experience in tank and vessel design.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient in MS Office with the ability to multitask effectively.
