Python Edge Developer

Roles & Responsibilities

Engage directly with end users to understand requirements and define use cases.

Design, build, and deploy Python applications for

Edge Gateway devices

Implement and optimize

algorithms for edge environments

Build reusable, scalable code and libraries for future use.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IoT, platform, and infrastructure teams.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).

5+ years

of hands-on experience developing applications in

Python

Strong knowledge of

OOP principles, SOLID design patterns, Abstraction, Encapsulation, and Modularity

Experience with

communication protocols

such as

MQTT

and

Kafka

Strong knowledge of

container technologies

: Docker & Kubernetes.

Experience with

CI / CD

Agile methodologies

Git

Test-Driven Development (TDD)

, and

integration testing

Proven skills in

code optimization

for resource-constrained real-time environments (e.g.,

GPU, TPU

).

Working knowledge of

IoT architecture

network topologies

, and

IoT security

Proficiency with

Linux

and

Bash scripting

Experience with

single-board computers (e.g., Raspberry Pi)

and

virtual machines (e.g., VirtualBox, VMware)

is a plus.

Experience with

embedded software development (RTOS, ADC, buffers)

is a strong advantage.

Self-starter mindset – able to work

independently in a dynamic, startup-like environment
