Teradata Admin / Teradata DBA : (4-6 Years)

Roles and Responsibilities

 Experience 4-6 years in Teradata Database Developer and Admin.

 Design and Develop solutions based on specifications receive.

 Work and collaboration with project teams to meet project expectations.

 Propose Technical solutions and adapt to the business needs.

 Implement best practices, coding and development culture.

 Good exposure in Teradata Development activities.

 Should have decent experience in develop Teradata SQL code based on requirement.

 Experience in Teradata like BTEQ, Fast load , TPT , Macros and Procedures

 Should have experience in Data Modelling.

 Perform query tuning and workload management (TASM) using Teradata Viewpoint

 Administrator and Optimize Teradata database for High availability and performance.

 Manage Database security user access control and auditing.

 Automate tasks using Unix shell script or Python

 Migrate On-Prem Teradata workload to cloud base environment like Snowflake.

 Implement space allocation, indexing, partitioning strategies to improve efficiency.

Must Have Technical Expertise

 Teradata Vantage 16.xx or higher, Teradata Utilities (BTEQ and TPT) , Procedures ,

Macros and SQL.

 Teradata Workload Management and Data Modelling

 Performance tuning, Indexing and Partition Strategies

 Teradata User Access , Space management and admin activities

 Unix Shell scripting and Python

 Snowflake Knowledge

Good To Have

 Knowledge in Snowflake / Certification

 CI / CD Pipeline

 Certifications in Teradata and cloud (Azure or AWS)

 ETL tools like DataStage

 BI tools like MicroStrategy
