Practice Overview :

The Litigation & Arbitration team handles a broad range of complex disputes across sectors including infrastructure, energy, banking, real estate, shareholder & JV disputes, regulatory enforcement, and white-collar litigation. Our team regularly appears before the Supreme Court, High Courts, tribunals, and arbitral forums (domestic and international).

Role Overview :

As part of our premier Dispute Resolution team, you will be responsible for handling end-to-end litigation and arbitration matters, including strategy formulation, legal drafting, court appearances, client engagement, and case management. The role offers exposure to both court litigation and arbitration (ad hoc and institutional), as well as regulatory proceedings.

Key Responsibilities :

Litigation :

Represent clients in commercial disputes before courts, tribunals (NCLT, NCLAT, DRT, SAT, etc.), and quasi-judicial authorities

Draft and review pleadings, writs, petitions, appeals, applications, and affidavits

Handle briefing and coordination with senior counsel for complex matters

Manage litigation strategy and timelines for multiple jurisdictions and forums

Arbitration :

Handle ad hoc and institutional arbitrations (domestic and international)

Prepare Statements of Claim, Defence, Rejoinders, Evidence, and written submissions

Assist with enforcement and challenge of arbitral awards

Work on interim relief applications under Section 9, appointment of arbitrators under Section 11, etc.

General Responsibilities :

Conduct legal research and case law analysis

Maintain strong communication with clients and provide strategic legal advice

Lead and mentor junior associates on research, drafting, and procedural matters

Participate in business development initiatives including knowledge sharing, writing articles, and seminars

Key Requirements :

LL.B. from a top-tier Indian law school; LL.M. (optional, preferred if from a reputed international university)

3–7 years of post-qualification experience in litigation and / or arbitration, ideally at a Tier 1 or leading boutique disputes firm

Strong drafting, research, and oral advocacy skills

Courtroom experience and comfort appearing before forums independently

Sound understanding of procedural and substantive law, including CPC, Contract Act, Arbitration & Conciliation Act, IBC, Companies Act, etc.

Experience working with institutional rules (e.g., SIAC, ICC, LCIA, MCIA) is a plus

Ability to manage multiple matters, timelines, and client expectations effectively
