The O&G SBU Head / Plant Head is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the precision machining operations within the O&G Strategic Business Unit (SBU). This role requires a seasoned leader with deep expertise in precision machining, strategic planning, and operational management to drive excellence and innovation in our manufacturing processes.
Strategic Leadership :
- Develop and execute strategic plans that align with the companys overall business objectives and long-term goals.
- Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and potential risks to drive growth and sustainability.
- Lead the SBU in achieving financial targets, operational KPIs, and other performance metrics.
Operational Management :
Oversee daily operations of the precision machining facility, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and productivity.Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.Ensure the facility meets all regulatory, safety, and compliance standards.Team Leadership :
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of managers, engineers, and technicians.Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes innovation and excellence.Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them achieve their professional goals.Financial Management :
Manage the SBUs budget, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of resources.Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.Collaborate with the finance team to develop accurate forecasts and financial reports.Stakeholder Management :
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.Represent the SBU in meetings with senior management, providing insights and recommendations on business strategy and operations.Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and delivering high-quality products on time.Innovation and Technology :
Stay abreast of technological advancements in precision machining and aerospace manufacturing.Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance the SBUs capabilities and competitiveness.Collaborate with the R&D team to develop and implement innovative solutions that meet customer needs.Qualifications :
Education : Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related degree in field. An MBA or advanced engineering degree is preferred.
Experience :
Minimum of 18 -25 years of experience in precision, large machining operations within the machine manufacturing, Oil & Gas machining, Nuclear & Thermal components manufacturing industry.Proven track record of success in a senior leadership role, managing large teams and complex operations.Strong background in strategic planning, financial management, and operational excellence.Skills :
