Key Responsibilities :
1. Medical Administration & Operations :
- Oversee all clinical operations across departments including OPD, IPD, emergency, ICU, and OT.
- Ensure smooth coordination between medical, nursing, paramedical, and administrative teams.
- Supervise the duty rosters, schedules, and availability of consultants and resident doctors.
- Monitor medical service delivery to ensure timely, ethical, and patient-friendly care.
2. Quality & Compliance :
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, statutory requirements, and medical ethics.Oversee adherence to clinical protocols, SOPs, infection control, and patient safety guidelines.Coordinate audits and inspections for NABH, JCI, ISO, or other accreditation bodies.Review and act on patient feedback, incident reports, and medico-legal cases.3. Staff Management & Development :
Lead recruitment, appraisal, training, and discipline of medical staff in coordination with HR.Foster continuous medical education (CME), workshops, and academic discussions.Mentor junior doctors and encourage a culture of teamwork and professional development.4. Strategic Planning & Hospital Growth :
Assist hospital leadership in strategic planning, service expansion, and policy formation.Recommend infrastructure improvements, procurement of medical equipment, and resource optimization.Support digital health initiatives, EMR implementation, and telemedicine strategies.5. Liaison & Coordination :
Serve as the primary liaison between the hospital management and clinical staff.Represent the hospital in external forums, health departments, or medical associations.Handle interactions with insurance companies, government bodies, and public health authorities.Qualifications and Experience :
Educational Qualification :MBBS (mandatory) with MD / MS (preferred) from a recognized universityMHA (Master of Hospital Administration) / MBA in Healthcare (desirable but not mandatory)Experience :Minimum 10–15 years of experience in clinical practice and hospital administrationPrior experience in a leadership role in a NABH / JCI-accredited hospital is preferredLicensure :Valid registration with State / National Medical CouncilKey Skills and Competencies :
Strong leadership and organizational skillsIn-depth understanding of hospital workflows, healthcare policies, and medical lawsProficient in crisis management, resource allocation, and interdepartmental coordinationEffective communicator with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skillsAbility to drive quality initiatives, staff motivation, and institutional disciplineTechnologically savvy with working knowledge of EMR, HIS, and hospital ERP systemsDesirable Attributes :
Experience in handling hospital emergencies and disaster preparednessActive involvement in accreditation processes, hospital audits, or medical boardsAcademic contributions in the form of teaching, research, or publicationsMembership in professional bodies like IMA, AHPI, FICCI Health Services, etc.Familiarity with public-private partnerships or CSR-linked healthcare programsSkills Required
