Job Summary :

We’re looking for an experienced and sharp Copy Editor / Business Reporter to join our digital and multimedia team. In this role, you will research and write compelling, timely business news stories for Republic Business’ digital platform — helping millions stay informed about the latest in business and economics.

Key Responsibilities :

Research and write engaging business news stories by conducting interviews, analyzing data, and tracking market trends.
Deliver high-quality, accurate content within tight deadlines, meeting our strict editorial standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key sources such as business leaders, analysts, and industry experts.
Stay updated on business and economic trends to produce insightful and authoritative reporting.
Collaborate with editors, producers, and reporters to develop story ideas, plan coverage, and promote content on social media.
Optimize articles for SEO, social media, and other digital platforms to maximize reach and engagement.
Contribute to digital content creation, including videos, podcasts, and infographics.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field.

4 - 6 years of experience as a business reporter within a digital news environment.

Exceptional writing, reporting, and interviewing skills.

Strong analytical and research capabilities.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.

Familiarity with digital content management systems and social media platforms.

Solid understanding of business and economic concepts.
