Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Engineering Manager to lead our backend engineering team. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise in modern backend development, cloud platforms, and security practices with exceptional leadership and collaboration skills.

As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for driving technical excellence, ensuring secure and scalable solutions, and guiding your team to deliver high-quality products in alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of backend engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance in designing, building, and scaling secure backend systems.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of RESTful APIs and microservices with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
  • Champion a security-first mindset, ensuring systems adhere to best practices in authentication (AuthN), authorization (AuthZ), SAML, API security, encryption, and other security standards.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (product, design, DevOps, QA) to ensure alignment of

engineering efforts with business goals.

  • Drive initiatives related to blockchain technologies, RPCs, and self-custody wallets, integrating crypto concepts into backend services where applicable.
  • Guide the adoption of cloud services, particularly Azure, to build and maintain reliable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure.
  • Oversee CI / CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and monitoring systems to support fast, stable, and reliable deployments.
  • Ensure proper documentation, code reviews, and adherence to coding standards across the team.
  • Track and report on team performance metrics, delivery timelines, and project milestones.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop engineering talent, nurturing both technical and leadership growth within the team.

    • Qualifications & Experience :

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of overall software engineering experience, with at least 2 to 3 years in a technical leadership or engineering management role.
  • Strong proficiency in backend programming languages such as C#, Java, Scala, Go, or similar.
  • Proven experience with RESTful API design principles and microservices architecture.
  • Deep knowledge of security concepts including AuthN, AuthZ, SAML, API security, encryption, and related standards.
  • Understanding of crypto / blockchain concepts such as RPCs, consensus mechanisms, and self-custody wallets.
  • Experience working with Azure or other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, automation, and CI / CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working across global, cross-functional teams.

    • Technical Skills : Must-Have Skills :

  • Backend programming (C#, Java, Scala, Go, or equivalent)
  • RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
  • Security : AuthN, AuthZ, SAML, API security, encryption
  • Cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
  • CI / CD and DevOps best practices

    • Good-to-Have Skills :

  • Blockchain and crypto knowledge (RPCs, wallets, consensus mechanisms)
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Monitoring, logging, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.)
  • Agile / Scrum team leadership experience
  • Exposure to distributed systems and event-driven architectures
