Job Title : Electrical Engineer – Drawing Review (Dry & Wet Plants)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer – Drawing Review to ensure the accuracy, safety, and compliance of electrical design deliverables across both Dry Plant and Wet Plant systems in a mineral processing environment. The role involves reviewing drawings, verifying compliance with codes and standards, supporting construction / commissioning, and driving continuous improvement in design quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all reviewed drawings meet Indian Electricity Rules, IEC, IEEE, IS standards , and company HSE requirements.
  • Verify incorporation of safety measures : access, isolation, grounding, arc-flash, and LOTO requirements.

Drawing & Design Review

  • Review SLDs, load lists, MCC layouts, cable schedules, earthing & lightning protection layouts, control & instrumentation drawings .
  • Review vendor drawings for Dry Plant (crushers, screens, conveyors, stackers / reclaimers) and Wet Plant (HPGR, mills, flotation, thickeners, filters, LIMS, tailings) .
  • Ensure alignment between OEM documentation, EPC deliverables, and site installation .
  • Identify gaps, interlock issues, or non-conformances and provide corrective feedback.

    • Technical Support

  • Provide drawing clarifications to construction and commissioning teams .
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, and constructability studies .
  • Support procurement with technical bid evaluations.
  • Oversee preparation / review of as-built drawings and redline markups .

    • Quality & Standards

  • Enforce compliance with IEC, IEEE, IS, and company standards .
  • Verify cable sizing, switchgear ratings, protection coordination, and VFD / PLC / SCADA integration .
  • Ensure design consistency across all plant packages.

    • Continuous Improvement

  • Recommend improvements for safety, reliability, and energy efficiency .
  • Capture lessons learned from construction / commissioning for future designs.
  • Promote adoption of digital tools such as ETAP, SmartPlant Electrical, and E3D.

    • Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering .
  • 5–10 years of experience in electrical design / review for heavy industry / mineral processing plants .
  • Hands-on experience with HV / LV systems, MCCs, VFDs, PLC / SCADA, and field instrumentation .
  • Strong ability to review SLDs, wiring diagrams, cable routing, and protection systems .
  • Proficiency with ETAP or similar design software .
  • In-depth knowledge of IEC / IEEE / IS codes and standards .
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional coordination skills.
