Role Overview

As an Automation Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable, resilient, and reusable automation frameworks for Lululemon’s digital commerce transformation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive automation maturity across QA, DevOps, and CI / CD pipelines, ensuring high-quality delivery in a hybrid global delivery model.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and implement automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing using tools like Selenium / Cypress, Appium, Cucumber, and Rest Assured
Implement performance and Security testing automation initiatives using tools like Jmeter,etc
Participating in strategic planning and roadmap discussion for quality engineering programs
Strong understanding of Test Management tools such as Test Rail, Jira, ALM
Develop and lead the automation teams in building the automation frameworks from scratch
Lead POC for different initiatives and share the outcomes
Evaluate tool and recommend based on Project requirement
Conduct Code review and ensure adherence to code standards
Lead the creation of reusable assets and libraries (e.g.XML generators, Java classes).
Integrate automation with test management and Cloud environment health check systems.
Drive adoption accelerators for flaky test reruns.
Collaborate with DevOps teams and SDET team to integrate automation using CI / CD pipeline.
Support onboarding and mentoring of QA / QE engineers

Required Skills & Experience

10–15 years of experience in QA automation and architecture.

Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Selenium / Cypress, Appium, Cucumber, REST Assured, and CI / CD tools.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), containerization, and service virtualization.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across geographies.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in hybrid delivery models with nearshore / offshore teams.

Exposure to AI-driven automation tools and frameworks.

Prior experience in onboarding and mentoring technical teams.

Familiarity with retail / e-commerce platforms like commercetools and CMS is a plus.
