Job description

We're seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to build and scale our global tutor network from scratch. You'll own full-cycle recruiting for educators, from workforce planning and sourcing to assessment, offers, and onboarding.

You'll need to understand educational talent deeply : what makes a great tutor, how to assess teaching ability in interviews, and how to move quickly without compromising quality.

What You'll Do Sourcing & Pipeline Building

Build global talent pipelines across subjects, grade levels, and specializations (including special needs education)

Develop creative sourcing strategies through universities, teacher communities, and professional networks

Establish employer brand in education communities

Full-Cycle Recruiting

Screen, interview, coordinate with subject experts, and close candidates

Assess subject expertise, teaching ability, communication skills, and cultural fit

Make data-driven hiring recommendations

Workforce Planning

Analyze student demand to forecast hiring needs by subject

Track recruiting metrics and optimize processes

Identify talent market trends and adjust strategies

Process Design

Build scalable screening and assessment frameworks

Create structured interview guides that measure subject mastery, teaching instincts, emotional intelligence, and passion

Refine candidate experience based on feedback

Onboarding & Quality

Design focused 2-3 day onboarding programs

Define hiring criteria and quality standards

Track post-hire performance to improve selection accuracy

What We're Looking For Core Skills

2+ years full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally high-volume or specialized roles

Creative sourcing and strong assessment abilities

Proven stakeholder management across teams and time zones

Excellent organizational skills managing multiple priorities

Personal Attributes

High agency—you solve problems proactively without hand-holding

Tech-savvy with ATS platforms, CRMs, and sourcing tools

Outstanding communicator who builds rapport quickly

Sound judgment to assess teaching ability and spot red flags

Bias toward action—ship, test, iterate

Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-changing priorities

Data-informed decision maker

Nice to Have Education, edtech, or mission-driven recruiting experience

Marketplace or platform business background

International / remote recruiting experience

Familiarity with education sector talent pools
