Job Role : Design Manager

Location : Bengaluru

Work Type : Full time

Responsibilities – Fit-Out Design Manager

1. Design Leadership Strategy

  • Lead the end-to-end design process from concept through to completion for multiple fit-out projects.
  • Interpret client briefs to create innovative, functional, and brand-consistent designs.
  • Develop and implement design standards, guidelines, and templates for consistency across projects.

1. Project Coordination

  • Act as the primary design liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Coordinate design deliverables with MEP, structural, AV / IT, acoustics, and lighting consultants.
  • Ensure design solutions are practical, buildable, and aligned with project budgets and schedules.

    • 1. Technical Oversight

  • Oversee preparation of detailed working drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, prototypes, and mock-ups.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, accessibility norms, fire safety, and quality standards.

    • 1. Team Management s Mentorship

  • Manage and mentor architects, interior designers, CAD / BIM technicians, and 3D visualisers.
  • Allocate workloads, track progress, and provide constructive feedback to the design team.

    • 1. Site Support s Quality Assurance

  • Conduct site inspections to ensure the built work matches the approved design intent.
  • Resolve design-related challenges during construction in coordination with the project management team.

    • 1. Budget s Value Engineering

  • Work with the costing and estimation team to ensure designs are aligned with budget constraints.
  • Propose value engineering solutions without compromising aesthetics or functionality.

    • 1. Innovation s Sustainability

  • Keep up-to-date with emerging materials, technology, and workplace trends.  Promote sustainable design practices and selection of eco-friendly materials.

    • 1. Qualification – Architecture Degree

    Experience – 8-10 years
