Job Title : Art Intern

Company : Podar Education Network

Location : Parel, Mumbai

Position Overview : The Art Curriculum Development Intern will work closely with the Art Curriculum Development Team to support the creation, design, and enhancement of art education materials. This role involves shadowing lesson designers, assisting in curriculum-related tasks, contributing to creative and administrative functions, and supporting visual content development. It's an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about art education and visual design to gain practical experience in a dynamic and creative environment.

Key Responsibilities : 1. Shadowing Lesson Designers :

  • Observe and learn from experienced lesson designers within the team.
  • Assist in the development of art curriculum materials under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for lesson plans and activities.

2. Supporting Curriculum Development :

  • Assist in researching educational resources, including art techniques, historical contexts, and contemporary trends.
  • Collaborate with the team to gather and organize visual references, instructional materials, and supplementary resources for curriculum development.
  • Provide input on the adaptation of curriculum materials to meet diverse learner needs and educational standards.
  • Support the team in transforming curriculum content into engaging, visually rich learning formats.

    • 3. Administrative Tasks :

  • Assist with administrative duties such as organizing files, managing documentation, and scheduling meetings.
  • Help maintain databases and spreadsheets related to curriculum development projects.
  • Support communication within the team and with external stakeholders through email correspondence and other channels.

    • 4. Design and Multimedia Support :

  • Create and edit digital design assets, including worksheets, templates, posters, and presentation visuals.
  • Edit photos and videos for internal and external content.
  • Assist in designing layouts for curriculum documents using tools like Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma.
  • Collaborate on design projects that require both creativity and adherence to brand / aesthetic guidelines.

    • Qualifications : Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Art Education, Fine Arts, Art History, or a related field.

  • Passion for art education and a desire to contribute to the development of innovative curriculum materials.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach to teamwork.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and willingness to learn new skills. Skills :
  • Graphic Design
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Educational technology tools are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Classroom, Drive, etc)
  • Proficiency with Zoom meetings
  • Photo Editing
  • Video Editing
  • Research
  • Content Creation
  • Adobe Creative Suite

    • Working Days- Monday to Friday

  • Work timings - 10 am to 5 pm.
