Assistant Vice President - SQL Server

Role Summary :

The AVP Techno-Functional for the SQL Development team will be responsible for leading and managing a large-scale SQL development and support team. This role requires a strong technical background in SQL development, coupled with excellent leadership and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering complex SQL projects and managing high-performing Responsibilities :

• Team Management : Oversee and manage a team of SQL developers, analysts, and architects.
• Project Delivery : Lead and deliver complex SQL projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Technical Expertise : Possess a deep understanding of SQL databases and development methodologies, including MS SQL, or other SQL dialects.
• Database Design : Design and implement efficient and scalable database schemas, considering performance, data integrity, and security.
• Query Optimization : Analyze and optimize SQL queries for performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements.
• Data Warehousing and ETL : Develop data warehouses and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
• Stakeholder Management : Effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, building strong relationships and addressing their needs.
• Continuous Improvement : Drive process optimization and innovation within the SQL development team, exploring new technologies and best Skills and Qualifications :
• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 18-25 years of experience in SQL development and implementation.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale SQL projects.
• Strong technical expertise in SQL databases and development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a Qualifications :
• Certification in SQL databases or development methodologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified : Azure Data Engineer Associate).
• Experience with cloud-based database platforms (e.g., Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS).
• Knowledge of data modeling and data governance concepts.
• Experience in a consulting or services environment.
