Job Responsibilities :
1.Manage and coordinate in-house machine commissioning :
- Create and manage commissioning schedules using Gantt charts
- Assign automation engineers and integration team
- Ensure strict compliance with commissioning SOPs and checklists
- Establish benchmarks for quality and timeliness of commissioning
- Oversee pre- dispatch trials, to ensure a smooth experience for the customer
- Coordinate with design, sales, service, and purchase teams when needed
2. Training and Development :
Map the skill matrix of the team periodically, assess their training needs and facilitate the required training by the responsible personOversee training programs for new recruits till their confirmationOrganize and oversee periodic refresher training for the team from the respective vendors for bought out components3. Documentation :
Maintain the requisite records for each project including-Design inputs (DI) from salesBOM (Bill of Material)Electrical DrawingsProgram back upTesting reports and checklistsO&M (Operation and Maintenance) manuals4. Management Review Meeting :
To present weekly and monthly reports to the management, with the status of each project, associated bottlenecks and recommendations, if anyCandidate profile :
B. Tech- Electronics and communication with 10-15 years total experience of which at least 3 years must be in a similar role with a mid- sized OEM.Experience in a company that manufacturers Flexible Packaging Machines such as Rotogravure, Lamination and Slitting machines will be an added advantageMust have experience in managing a team of engineers for installation, commissioning, and testing of machinesMust have, at some point, also independently carried out the installation, commissioning and testing of machinesGood academic and working knowledge of motors, drives, PLC, HMI, SCADA, sensors, electric wiring, switchgears, pneumatics, and hydraulicsBasic knowledge of mechanicsSystem oriented working style with a data-based approachIn the habit of regular report making and conducting report analysisSound leadership qualities including good supervisory, interpersonal and team building skillsMust be residing in / willing to relocate to the western suburbs of Mumbai or Thane properEducation :
B. Tech- ElectronicsExperience 10-15 years in preferably Machine building / Heavy Equipment
