Global Sourcing Manager - Manufacturing and Supply Chain
Experience - 3- 5 years
Responsible for the sourcing, negotiation, and program management of finished goods, commodities, materials, services, or components in alignment with company strategic objectives. Develops and implements goals and strategies within the identified supply chain to drive value propositions, mitigate risks, and track / maintain 3rd party global supply chain tooling and equipment assets. Effectively manages project work related to supply chain shifts, cost reduction initiatives, process improvements, and supplier relationships. Interacts with product managers, executives, and stakeholders to establish supply chain strategies and execute productivity initiatives supporting Client's growth objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Execute sourcing strategies and policies to ensure achievement of business objectives, performing negotiations with suppliers.
- Research global commodities markets to anticipate and report on price shifts impacting supplier costs.
- Become a subject matter expert on product bill of materials to establish baseline costs prior to negotiations.
- Negotiate vendor terms including payment, MOQs, volume breaks, and costs, recommending ways to reduce components and labor expenses to meet targets.
- Prepare non-disclosure agreements for new potential sources.
- Collaborate with product marketing teams and engineers on NPD projects, managing and reviewing supplier RFQs.
- Maintain supplier contracts, stocking programs, and evaluate performance against agreements and delivery schedules.
- Administer commodity sourcing activities, coordinating with the sourcing team to consolidate processes and suppliers.
- Ensure dual sourcing strategy for key strategic commodities and services.
- Analyze factory requirements and prepare contracts for purchased materials.
- Provide custom strategic sourcing analytics to business executives.
- Provide leadership on supplier selection for new products, including re-sourcing suggestions for existing products.
- Manage and maintain 3rd party organizational tooling and equipment assets, including sourcing precision tools / molds, lifecycle management, and recommendations for replacements / redesigns with timelines and costs; assist with Woodstream manufacturing equipment needs as required.
