Job description

The Quality Lead will be responsible for establishing and enforcing quality management systems, processes, and controls across all Awfis Design & Build (D&B) projects. This role ensures that every project delivered meets defined specifications, safety standards, statutory requirements, and customer expectations while driving a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Management Systems (QMS)

  • Develop and implement QMS aligned with ISO 9001 and industry best practices for D&B.
  • Define project-specific quality plans, inspection & test plans (ITPs), and checklists.
  • Monitor adherence to approved drawings, BOQs, and specifications.

2. Project Quality Assurance & Control

  • Conduct periodic site inspections, material testing, and workmanship quality audits.
  • Ensure quality compliance during all phases : design, procurement, execution, and handover.
  • Establish protocols for vendor evaluation and supplier quality checks.

    • 3. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with statutory and contractual quality requirements.
  • Maintain NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) register, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Prepare and publish quality dashboards, MIS, and audit reports for leadership review.

    • 4. Training & Awareness

  • Conduct training for site engineers, contractors, and vendors on QA / QC standards.
  • Drive awareness of zero-defect delivery and first-time-right execution.
  • Build quality champions across project sites.

    • 5. Customer Experience & Handover

  • Ensure projects are handed over snag-free, with documentation and quality certifications.
  • Work closely with Delivery and Project Heads to minimize rework and defects.
  • Measure client satisfaction through post-handover quality feedback.

    • 6. Continuous Improvement

  • Drive root cause analysis of recurring defects and implement long-term fixes.
  • Benchmark quality metrics against industry leaders and propose process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with design, procurement, and project execution teams for standardization.

    • Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's / Master's in Civil Engineering / Architecture with certification in Quality Management (ISO, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • 8–12 years of QA / QC experience in interior fit-outs, construction, or real estate projects; D&B exposure preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, MEP works, and fit-out quality standards.
  • Experience in leading multi-site quality audits and implementing QMS
