Job description

Location : Muscat, Oman

Working Days : Sunday to Thursday

Experience : 6+ Years

Notice Period : Immediate joiners preferred (up to 30 days acceptable)

We are hiring an experienced Data Engineer to lead and manage end-to-end ETL pipelines, including Informatica Development (DEI, CDC), modern API development, and cloud-native data engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize ETL / ELT workflows using Informatica (DEI, CDC).
  • Build APIs for data ingestion, integration, and orchestration.
  • Deploy, operate, and tune data pipelines on Azure or AWS with a focus on performance, cost, and reliability.
  • Create reusable mappings, workflows, and parameterized jobs; implement CDC-driven incremental loads.
  • Ensure strong monitoring, alerting, logging, and error handling across all data pipelines.
  • Manage data quality validation, reconciliation checks, and metadata handling.
  • Collaborate with platform, application, and analytics teams to deliver secure and scalable data services.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 6 years of ETL experience with strong expertise in Informatica Development (DEI, CDC).
  • Proven experience in API development (REST / GraphQL), including API security, gateway patterns, and integration with pipeline tools.
  • Strong hands-on cloud expertise (Azure or AWS) covering storage, compute, networking, IAM, and CI / CD.
  • Experience with performance tuning, partitioning, pushdown optimization, scheduling, and orchestration.
  • Solid SQL skills and knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and DevOps practices.
