Job description

In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of enterprise applications, with a strong focus on test planning, execution, defect management, and test automation. You will work closely with product owners, developers, and QA teams to validate systems against business and regulatory requirements. This role is critical in ensuring that applications meet performance, security, and compliance expectations across the development lifecycle, especially in GxP-regulated environments .

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Test Case Development & Execution : Design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements. You will create and maintain the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure full test coverage and capture test evidence in accordance with validation standards.
  • Automation Testing : Support automation testing efforts by building, enhancing, and maintaining scripts in tools like Selenium, TestNG , or similar frameworks. You will also use tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions to integrate testing into DevOps pipelines.
  • Defect Management : Log and track defects using tools such as JIRA or HP ALM . You will ensure defects are re-tested post-fix and verified for closure in collaboration with development teams.
  • Compliance & Documentation : Ensure responsibilities are performed in compliance with GxP and Computer System Validation (CSV) regulations. You will maintain detailed documentation of test cycles and support audit readiness.
  • Collaboration : Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to ensure all identified bugs and issues are addressed and resolved effectively, and assist in User Acceptance Testing ( UAT ).

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience in designing and executing both manual and automated test cases.
  • Hands-on expertise in building and maintaining automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, Postman , or similar.
  • Proficient in using tools like JIRA, HP ALM , or qTest for defect logging and tracking.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions , or similar tools for integrating testing into DevOps pipelines.
  • Proficient in creating test lifecycle documentation ( RTMs, OQ protocols, test plans ) and supporting testing within GxP and CSV -compliant systems.
  • Familiarity with performance testing ( JMeter ) and API testing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies and continuous testing practices.
  • ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Level Certification is preferred.

    • Qualifications

  • A Master's degree with relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree with extensive experience, or a Diploma with a substantial background in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Experience in validated ( GxP ) environments and with CSV practices is a plus.
  • A background in testing applications in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
